About Us

The Indiana Association for the Gifted (IAG) is a 501(c)(3) statewide nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening high ability education in Indiana.

IAG brings together educators, families and advocates to support students through research-based practices, collaboration, and thoughtful policy engagement.

Our Mission

The Indiana Association for the Gifted educates about and advocates for meeting the academic and social/emotional needs of gifted youth.

Our Role in Indiana

IAG serves as a statewide resource and catalyst for conversations about high ability education. We provide professional learning opportunities and contribute educator perspectives and research to policy discussions. IAG does not aim to supplant local decision-making: instead, we support local decision makers as they strengthen their own approaches to serving high abilities students in their communities. IAG serves as a state affiliate of the National Association for Gifted Children.

Our Partners

IAG is committed to educating and advocating for all gifted youth in Indiana, regardless of the school they attend. Our mission is to meet the academic and social/emotional needs of these students, and we recognize that gifted learners are found in public, private, charter, and homeschool environments. IAG will continue to provide resources, support, and a voice for these students and their families, working with educators and policymakers across the state to champion effective programming and services. We stand firm in our belief that every gifted child deserves the opportunity to thrive and reach their full potential.
