IAG Annual Scholarship Competition for Indiana High School Seniors



The Indiana Association for the Gifted educates and advocates for meeting the academic and social/emotional needs of high ability youth. The IAG members recognize the benefits in supporting high ability youth and contributing to their futures. With their mission in mind, IAG has established a scholarship program for high ability students who will enter college the following fall.

IAG awards three merit scholarships in the amount of $2000. Students may apply for all scholarships for which they are eligible. Learn about each scholarship below.

Deadline: Friday, March 29, 2024

Requirements for All Three Scholarships:

  • Complete online application (students may apply for all scholarships for which they are eligible)

  • Upload digital reports or scans of standardized measures of performance: SAT, ACT, AP, IB exam scores. Note: Only one submission of ACT/SAT is permitted. IAG does not superscore.

  • Upload copy of transcript

  • Please have a reference that comes from someone familiar with your academic work.

  • Choose one of the three prompts on our website (also listed on form below) and either write an essay (500-1000 words) OR create a media product (no longer than 5 minutes in length) that includes original content.

  • Upload essay or submit Youtube link to a multi-media presentation.

2024 Merit Scholarship for All


A merit scholarship for which available to any student who meets the rubric criteria. Students should prepare all materials and an essay of 500-1000 words or a multimedia project (5 minutes or less) over one of the following prompts.

2024 IAG Merit Scholarship for High Ability Students with an Additional Exceptionality


A merit scholarship available to students who meet the rubric criteria and who have documentation of having additional exceptionalities.

2024 IAG Merit Scholarship: Diverse Backgrounds


A merit scholarship available to students who meet the rubric criteria and have diverse backgrounds.
