Our Mission: The Indiana Association for the Gifted educates and advocates for meeting the academic and social/ emotional needs of gifted youth. 


Join Indiana leaders in gifted education and support a more powerful voice to improve education for our gifted youth!  Indiana Association for the Gifted is a united body of parents, educators, and concerned citizens committed to the advocacy and advancement of educational practices and resources which will meet the unique learning needs of gifted/ talented students.


Why IAG?



  1. BulletIDOE/IAG Annual Conference -- Nationally recognized keynote speakers and breakout sessions for parents and school personnel.


  1. BulletIMAGES -- An electronic journal about gifted youth and current information for the Indiana G/T community.


  1. BulletLegislation -- IAG monitors state and federal legislation and works with legislators to develop laws favorable to high ability learners.


  1. BulletParent Network -- Assists parents in finding others with similar concerns.


  1. BulletScholarship and Awards -- for students, teachers, and leaders. 


  1. BulletSupport -- for regional parent or school groups


  1. BulletCultural Competency -- Finding ways to include all groups in services for high ability students.


  1. BulletCollaboration with Others -- Examples include working with the Indiana Department of Education to develop the following publications: Identifying Students with High Abilities in Indiana; Indiana Standards for High Ability Education, and Service Options for High Ability Students.
